Why We’re Gathering
Every day, millions of decisions are made about the products we use, the materials we build with, the food we eat, and the chemicals that move through our economy. Those decisions shape our health, our environment, and the choices available to future generations.
Over the past several decades, remarkable progress has been made. At the same time, new challenges continue to emerge. Meeting these challenges will require good science, thoughtful policy, practical innovation, and collaboration across many sectors. The Toxics Solutions Summit was created to create space for those conversations.
Our Shared Opportunity
When science informs decisions, when markets reward safer products, when policies create clarity, when innovation flourishes, and when organizations learn from one another, progress becomes possible. The Summit is an opportunity to step back from our daily work and ask bigger questions.

A Look at the Agenda
Day 1: Celebrating Progress & Sharing What’s Working
We'll begin by recognizing extraordinary leadership and then turn to exploring emerging ideas and promising solutions from across the field.
Participants will hear from leaders working at the intersection of science, business, policy, investment, and innovation while building new relationships throughout the day. That evening, participants are invited to continue the conversation over dinner during our Solutions Dinner Conversations.
Day 2: Looking Ahead & Facilitating Active Collaboration
Working in interdisciplinary Design Studios, participants will explore opportunities to accelerate progress, strengthen collaboration, and imagine what success could look like over the next decade.
We will conclude by sharing ideas across groups and recognizing pioneers whose work has helped shape today’s environmental health movement.
The Conversations Ahead
Throughout the Summit we'll explore the many aspects of building a healthier system, including:
- Advancing safer chemistry and healthier product design
- Creating market conditions that reward safer choices
- Improving transparency and access to information
- Strengthening policy where it can make the greatest difference
- Measuring progress in meaningful ways
- Building partnerships that accelerate learning and collective action
These conversations will draw on diverse perspectives from across the environmental health community. We don’t expect everyone to agree on every answer. We do hope that participants leave with new ideas, stronger relationships, and renewed optimism about what we can accomplish together.
